Biohit‘s production facility in Suzhou, China, was inaugurated in September 2006. In addition to representatives from Biohit, the Finnish General Consul in China, Ms Päivi Hiltunen-Toivio, Vice Director Mr Pan Yue from the Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipality, SND Director Ms Wang Aixian and leading Chinese gastroenterologist, Professor Xiao, participated in the opening ceremony.

The President & CEO of Biohit, Mr Osmo Suovaniemi uncovered the Biohit sign together with Country Manager Mr Eirik Pettersen. The programme also featured speeches, as well as Chinese music and acrobatics.
